How many times have you let a pen spot happen to you? I’m not sure about you, but I feel like I’m always being victimized by pen marks and nail polish spots! And up until now, I wasn’t sure that anything could be done about this–well, that is, until I found this snippet in the August 2008 issue of Lucky Magazine:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: A bottle of pure eucalyptus oil, a soft cloth, and latex or plastic gloves.
HOW IT’S DONE: Put on the gloves. Gently dab a very small amount of the oil on he stain with the soft cloth. Let it sit for a few seconds, and then delicately blot and rub until the stain is gone. Launder as usual; if you’re in a hurry, you can just air-dry it until the oil smell disappears. This works best on cottons and light woven fabrics; never try it on leather!
But before I went and got all excited about this, I googled eucalyptus oil to see if it could be useful in other ways before I went to buy it. I found this list of different uses, including treating sore throats and chest congestion, an insect repellent, as well as antidote to other kinds of common clothing stains, like grease spots!
