I love my huge ’80s hair!
I admit that my being a generic ’80s girl maybe wasn’t the most creative idea ever, but I can at least take credit for my friend José’s costume, he’s pictured here with me in 2004.
You probably recall that Chappelle Show was super popular then, so naturally, I suggested that José dress as resident crackhead Tyrone Biggums. Everyone thought his costume was hilarious, especially his sign that read, “Will have sex 4 crack.”
We went to a Halloween party for our freshman dormitory that evening, and everyone thought we were Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown! That year, we also went to the huge Halloween parade in Greenwich Village, NYC.

Way to be 80s. My daughter was an 80s girl this year. She wore every 80’s fashion faux pas…and didn’t have a hard time finding it in my old high school wardrobe.
